Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Signalog ("Service"), operated by IDACS ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using Signalog, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Definitions

"Signalog" refers to the feedback collection, bug reporting, changelog publishing, and related software services available at signalog.co and via our embeddable script.

"Customer" refers to any individual or organization that registers for and uses Signalog to embed the widget on their website or application.

"End User" refers to any person who interacts with the Signalog widget embedded on a Customer's website or application.

"Workspace" refers to an organizational unit within Signalog under which apps, members, and data are managed.

"App" refers to a website or application registered within Signalog and identified by a unique Site ID.

"Content" refers to all data, text, files, feedback, screenshots, recordings, and other information submitted through or stored in the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Signalog. By using the Service, you represent that you are of legal age to form a binding contract. If you are using Signalog on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

3. Account Registration

To use Signalog, you must create an account using a valid email address or through supported OAuth providers (GitHub, Google). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at hello@signalog.co if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

4. Free Tier and Paid Plans

4.1 Free TierSignalog offers a free tier that includes up to 3 registered apps with a "Powered by Signalog" watermark displayed on the widget. The free tier is provided as-is with no uptime guarantees beyond commercially reasonable efforts.

4.2 Paid PlansPaid plans (Starter, Growth, Enterprise) are available on monthly or annual billing cycles. Plan features, limits, and pricing are described on the Pricing page at signalog.co/pricing and are incorporated into these Terms by reference.

4.3 Add-onsAdditional services including extra app registrations, watermark removal on free apps, extra team seats, and MCP server access are available as separate subscription add-ons billed alongside your base plan or independently.

4.4 Plan ChangesUpgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing cycle. Feature access adjusts accordingly.

5. Payment and Billing

5.1 Payment ProcessorsSignalog uses the following payment processors:
PayPal — for watermark removal subscriptions (current)
Paddle — for global plan subscriptions (USD billing, all non-India customers)
Razorpay — for India-based customers (INR billing)
Payments are processed by these third-party providers and subject to their respective terms of service. We do not store your payment card details.

5.2 Billing CycleSubscriptions are billed on the same date each month or year from the date of initial subscription. For annual plans, the full annual amount is charged upfront.

5.3 Failed PaymentsIf a payment fails, we will retry automatically. You will receive an email notification. We provide an 8-day grace period during which your subscription remains active. After the grace period, your subscription may be suspended and watermark or feature restrictions may be re-applied.

5.4 TaxesFor global customers billed through Paddle, applicable VAT, GST, and other taxes are automatically calculated and collected by Paddle as the Merchant of Record. For Indian customers billed through Razorpay, GST is applied and a GST-compliant invoice is issued.

5.5 CurrencyGlobal pricing is in USD. India pricing is in INR. INR prices are fixed and do not fluctuate with exchange rates.

6. Watermark Policy

Free plan users will have a "Powered by Signalog" watermark displayed on their embedded widget. This watermark is small and non-intrusive by design, links to signalog.co, and can be removed by paying $2/month or $19/year per app (free apps), or by upgrading to any paid plan.

Removing the watermark while on the free plan requires an active per-app subscription. If the subscription lapses, the watermark will be re-applied after the grace period.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Signalog to:

  • Collect feedback, data, or recordings from minors without appropriate parental consent
  • Embed the widget on websites containing illegal content
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits, billing, or access controls
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Use the Service to build a competing product or service
  • Resell or sublicense access to the Service without written permission
  • Transmit malware, viruses, or malicious code through the Service
  • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Scrape, harvest, or extract data from the Service in bulk without authorization

8. Data and Privacy

8.1 Customer DataYou retain ownership of all data submitted through your Signalog account, including feedback, changelogs, and app configurations. We process this data to provide the Service.

8.2 End User DataWhen End Users submit feedback through your embedded widget, data including browser type, operating system, screen size, locale, timezone, and page URL is automatically captured. This data is processed on your behalf. You are responsible for informing your End Users of this data collection in your own privacy policy.

8.3 Screen RecordingsBug reports may include rrweb-based screen recordings. These recordings are stored securely on Cloudflare R2 and are accessible only to you and your authorized team members. End Users are informed before any recording is attached.

8.4 Data RetentionData history is retained according to your plan:
• Free / Watermark: 1 month
• Starter: 3 months
• Growth: 1 year
• Growth / Enterprise: Unlimited
Downgrading your plan applies the corresponding history limit. Older data becomes inaccessible but is not immediately deleted. Upgrading restores access.

8.5 Data ProcessingBy using Signalog, you agree to our Privacy Policy available at signalog.co/privacy. For enterprise customers requiring a Data Processing Agreement (DPA), contact hello@signalog.co.

9. Intellectual Property

Signalog, including its logo, design, code, and all associated intellectual property, is owned by IDACS. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or branding without prior written consent.

You retain all intellectual property rights in the content and data you submit to Signalog. By submitting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process and store it solely for the purpose of providing the service.

10. Third-Party Integrations

Signalog may integrate with third-party services including Jira, Slack, GitHub, and others. These integrations are subject to the respective third-party terms of service. We are not responsible for the availability, performance, or conduct of third-party services.

11. Uptime and Service Availability

We aim for 99.5% uptime on paid plans. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible. Enterprise plan customers with SLA agreements have specific uptime guarantees defined in their contracts.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, IDACS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption, arising from your use of or inability to use Signalog, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless IDACS and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of Signalog, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

14. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time from your dashboard or by contacting hello@signalog.co. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or any activity that we determine poses a risk to the Service.

15. Governing Law & Contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
